They are late additions to the line-up but what an addition! The fantastic 1000 Rabbits will bring a mix of melancholy and euphoria fronted by River who you will feel that you know by the end of the set. We don’t like genres but “art-pop” is the vibe, the LP is very good! Come along to the first band in the Big Top on Friday and be part of the 1000 Rabbits “family”.
If you’ve been listening to the OneBigHouse show on Dandelion Radio, you’ll know that we’ve been playing a lot of the recent Silverwingkiller single “Gunman Corner” lately. So, it’s no surprise they made our recommendations and based on their outstanding performance at Paint by Numbers in Bristol in July, this should be cracking. Big drum sound and electronic noise, plenty of jumping and chaos, basslines with fevered vocals. Get to the Boat in plenty of time on Saturday.
Without doubt playing in a different style and genre but none the lesser for it are Folk Bitch Trio. Something more soothing for the ears, some beauty for your soul and a bit of a chill after a hectic festival. Last years LP “Now Would Be a Good Time” is excellent, check the tracks “The Hotel” and “That’s All She Wrote”. Sunday afternoon on the Woods stage, expect it to be gorgeous.
Doing something quite atmospheric, dark and elegant will be Just Mustard. Playing the guitars in a shoegaze style, this will be euphoric in places and in other places it will be darker. There’s plenty of back catalogue to choose from and having seen them a few times previously we can re-assure you won’t be disappointed. Saturday afternoon in the Big Top.
Kicking and pushing their guitars until they scream will be Sex Mask. And having seen them perform, you may be moved around as well. Check out “Circe” and “Raid” for frenetic examples of their post punk sound. Recent self-titled five track EP is fantastic. It’s Sunday afternoon in the Big Top.
Massive favourites on our Dandelion Radio shows are Another Country $$$$. Having seen them several times now, rest assured this duo can go! This will be superb – the LP “Cursed Frame” is one of this years best (and the remixes are pretty damn good too!). Expect some ambient moments and some banging bits as well. Good visual show to accompany it all too. Early afternoon on Sunday in the Big Top.
There are very few better exponents of electronic dance than Factory Floor. They have been around for a while and have worked with some of the greats – Daniel Avery, Steven Morris and Throbbing Gristle. This could be an absolute masterclass in The Boat on Sunday evening.
